Psychedelic really needs its own genre. Good song, I like how the structure slowly falls apart towards the end. I'll check out the full album next time I get a chance, cheers

Thank you so much for the kind words!! I'm glad you liked it!
Damn, I made a rule that if I start taping my foot, I have to leave a review. 1:16 got me hard. I think it's the highlight of the song. You should add more to this project though, it feels a bit bare-boned. Didn't really feel like a "full song" until around 1:16 when that synth kicked in. Making it longer would be cool too, maybe add some vocals? It's up to you man, but this has a lot of potential to be more than just a beat IMO
This is some really helpful feedback man, thank you for sharing this. You're absolutely right about it being pretty bare-bones in terms of arrangement - I think I run out of steam too fast when exploring ideas like this. Something to keep in mind for the future at least! And thanks again~
The focus on bass sets the tone very well for an underground subway. Very urban and dark. The segmenting is odd, but I think that kind of sporadic placement lends itself well to a chaotic atmosphere. I do think it could go on a bit longer, though. All in all, interesting mix, good job.
Thanks for the feedback, v3 is coming!
Using only one instrument can be pretty limiting, but I feel like you really got the best out of it. Love how it picks up at around 1 minute in with the waltz.
One note on the arrangement, your build-ups are great, but moments where you bring the volume down (like 3:08) don't sound natural. You've got the timing correct on how fast it drops at 2:23, but even then it's audibly clear that the volume is just lowered. I think that lowering each string's volume individually, so they don't all lower at once, might make it sound more natural. You could also try introducing a higher note that can eclipse the sound of the strings as they lower, so the enveloping is less noticeable. Or try some EQ tricks, but I try to stay away from those.
Other than that, the composition is great and lively, well composed, and with a little work could make for a professional sounding piece
Thank you so much for the input I appreciate it a lot.
Glad you decided to go with the vocals, they fit even better than I thought they would, and it really does tie the track together. Also, the volume dynamics are a lot better in this mix. Huge improvement overall, great work!
Thank you so much for taking the time to review both versions. :D
I'm glad you like it :)))
I never liked toxic biohazard personally. But you managed to make it sound pretty good, which is impressive. Props to you for that. The piano at the beginning was definitely a good choice to set it apart from the others who use the same synth. I'd love to hear more of that uniqueness in the future, because techno is over-saturated, and I feel like distinguishing yourself is the most important part of being an artist. So DEFINITELY do that intro with lyrics, I think that's a great idea! I look forward to hearing it if you do. Take care
As a matter of fact, there is a version in my library with lyrics :) I'm gonna remove this one later because I feel like it became as good as it should be :)
This has a unique sound, it's not bad, but it feels too out of place. I can see the potential of this being, maybe a track put into a larger concept album, but honestly it fails to stand on it's own for me.
You nailed it on the head sir it actually is part of a concept album... sort of haha It's coming out in January
Pretty diverse sound here, and it stays cohesive, I like. Is there a name for that synth sound at 00:16? It has a nice vibe to it
it's named dusty record synth, in Garageband.
I liked the choices of reverb, and the stereo spacing is really well done
Thank you <3
I always enjoy feedback: good/bad/borderline-harassment/I don't care
