A bit bland IMO, but I caught myself head nodding and foot tapping so I'll admit the beat is pretty captivating. I would say just vary it up a bit, the leading melody gets a bit repetitive for me

Radius responds:

2000's techno usually has repetitive melodies so....

The way you sing reminds me of King Krule, and I like that. Nice vibrato on the guitar, too. What kind of distortion is that? (in the first song). The combination sounds so good

VibrantMan responds:

The distortion comes from my Peavy Spyder IV, not sure the exact preset or effect.

Sounds a bit too crowded at some points, but other than that I like it. The stereo spacing is really nice

EDIT: I listened to it a second time, and I realized I left my sound card's compressor on the last time I listened to this. Whoops! Well, now that I can hear it clearer, it doesn't sound as crowded frequency-wise. There's still just a lot going on, which isn't exactly my cup of tea for ambient tracks, but that's just a personal taste of mine. I don't think objectively it needs to change at all

Aweror responds:

definitely sounds a bit crowded I agree. probably too much reverb. I'll keep that in mind for the future, thanks :)

This one's better than version 1, it sounds fuller in tone, but it still sounds a little dry... The guitar playing itself is great, but the mixing needs some work

goblinbumpgang responds:

Thanks man! Yeah a lot of the original audio files were poorly recorded years ago, so trying to get them even semi-clean was a chore. But thank you for the feedback!

This slaps. Always good to see some talent coming outta hampton roads

Teqneek responds:

Thanks man you da bess

fuckin' cool song

GameBoyFireworks responds:

Thanks Towny!

Good shit, I really love how the synth is always hanging on quietly from the last note it plays. Good mixing too, every sound seems to knows its place. Overall it's just really beautiful, especially the moments when the chords change the tension in the atmosphere. Great job

fleepis responds:

thank you!!! i’m extremely inspired by your reviews and i’m highly grateful for the thought you put into them. i can’t wait to make more stuff asap

I really like the beat. Lyrics are pretty trite, but you've got good flow. I also think it'll sound better after you put that extra verse in, good luck

RashadSqualls responds:

Thanks brother, I value your response. I appreciate that... I definitely need someone to jump on this and drop a sick verse...who knows i might just complete this one alone!!!??? -cYn SiTy

Not being a fan of experimental, industrial, or ambient music in general, I think the way that you've blended them here definitely sets you apart from your contemporaries. I liked it. I would have maybe used a high shelf on the EQ, but I might just be over-sensitive to higher frequencies, always have been.

Anchorwind responds:

I'm still not sure what to say: an honest score, a potentially legendary compliment and constructive criticism all in one. All this from someone who doesn't even like what I (we) do, in general.

Give this guy some love.

I always enjoy feedback: good/bad/borderline-harassment/I don't care
